We can get to PDF via the normal print to PDF route, but that loses
lots of useful information, because it goes via PostScript.

You can also (on the unstable version) get to PDF by exporting
as PDF, but this is a cheat and just sticks one bitmap in the PDF.

The Scribus guys wrote their own PDF exporter as I understand
it from talking to them at Libre.
